These are some interesting and challenging days for me and for Debi. Overall, it is good, but it is challenging. I ask for prayers for wisdom and guidance for me and for Debi!
I have come to the place where I believe that in life, we are either spiraling up or spiraling down! There may be brief moments where things remain steady. But, the majority of the time, we are either winding/spiraling up or winding/spiraling down!
Proverbs 15:24
The way of life winds upward for the wise, that he may turn away from hell below.
In your life, do you believe that you are “winding/spiraling up” or are you “winding/spiraling down” in these days?
Debi and I are in a season where I believe that we are “winding/spiraling up”! Praise God! That is a blessing, but it is also much more challenging to spiral up than it is to spiral down. If we are spiraling down, things are always accelerating, and they are accelerating in bad ways. If we are spiraling up, it is an uphill battle, and we make progress incrementally, day by day by day. We have to guard against slipping up because it can quickly cost us the hard fought progress which we have been making!
Debi and I are working hard to establish new habits for this season of our lives. Most of these fall within the categories of changing our eating habits and our exercise habits. But we are overall working to establish our schedules and routines for this new season of life.
God is doing some amazing things through Arrows of Light! I hope to say more about this in the coming days and weeks and through this year. I definitely need pray for God’s clear guidance and strength and provision!!! This is going to be a key focus of my life in this new season of life, and it is very exciting in these days to see all that God is lining up. I am so blessed to get to be a dot on the page of what He is doing! This includes the men’s ministry which is flowing out of the retreat which we just did in Tyler.
Debi and I had to prayerfully decide where we were going to live after retirement. Initially, Waco and Longview were the more likely destinations. But ultimately, we decided (felt led by God) to move near Mark and Lauren and the grandchildren. We have most certainly NOT regretted that decision. We have been so blessed to be connected with Mark and Lauren and the “grands”.
I am still trying to get the HABITS and ROUTINES of PRAYER and WRITING worked into my schedule! This is so crucially important, especially for continuing to wind/spiral up.
I came across this quote recently, “The future depends on what I do today.” This helps us understand that every “today” is important. We are shaping our future, day by day by day. We are determining today whether we are spiraling up or spiraling down in our lives!
I am praying for you and for your choices and decisions today. I am praying for you and for your habits and routines. I pray that you are strongly connected to God and to His Kingdom purposes for your life. These things are critical to spiraling up in our lives.
In your life, do you believe that you are “winding/spiraling up” or are you “winding/spiraling down” in these days?
To live the "Best-Is-Yet-To-Come" life we must be spiraling up!
