“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
Life is like a river. It is always moving and changing. Because “life” is always moving and changing, we have to be prepared to change and hopefully grow to keep up at some level.
Our natural tendency is to try to protect and stay in our comfort zone. In these days, this seems like a bad plan. I was visiting an older woman this past week, and she hasn’t kept up with technology. She has no email. She doesn’t do Facebook. I don’t think she has a cell phone. Thus, she is fairly disconnected from her family unless they call on the land line or come by and visit. This is sad to me.
Yet I also know the challenges of trying to keep up with the changes of life and technology! Attempting to do this blog is a part of trying to step up to these challenges and to this adventure!
Can you relate to this at any level?
Many times, when APPS or websites update, it challenges us to figure it out all over again. We may find ourselves muttering, “I didn’t ask for this update! Why can’t things just stay the same?”
I remember going into Best Buy shortly after Microsoft had upgraded to their Windows 10. It was a pretty dramatic change in the initial interface when you first start the computer. As I was walking past the customer service counter, a woman just threw her new laptop on the counter and with exasperation cried out that she couldn’t figure how to use the new computer since the upgrade! I think we can all relate to that at a level.
Things are changing more and more rapidly, and often we are challenged to keep!
This blog is going to be one aspect of my attempts to keep up. I hope you will join me for the journey, and I hope that things which I share in the coming weeks, months and years will be helpful, encouraging and inspiring.
In His grace and for His glory,
